From Fontaine-de-Vaucluse

After the spring, on to the evening

Fontaine-de-Vaucluse is a daytime visit, following the Sorgue up to its source. As evening falls the village grows quiet — and it's a few minutes away, in the heart of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, that the night takes over. Via Notte is built for it: people come for the atmosphere, a drink with friends, an afterwork that lingers, a crew that carries the night on.

Reckon on barely ten minutes along the river to reach the centre of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Behind the counter, the team mixes fresh cocktails and serves Corsican charcuterie, cheeses and wines on sharing boards. The day out in nature turns easily into a proper night out.

Pour les visiteurs qui reviennent de plus haut dans le Luberon, Via Notte est l'escale naturelle du retour.

At the table

Corsica on the plate, made to share

Start with a board — country charcuterie, maquis cheeses or mixed — then come the grills: rib steak served with homemade chips, grilled figatellu, trios of mini-burgers with lonzu and tomme. Homemade is a stance here, not a slogan.

Tapas to whet the appetite, salads to lighten things up, a plate of fresh fruit to round off the meal: generous, fuss-free cooking that carries the evening without ever overwhelming it. Most of what we serve comes from the island.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Via Notte bar & restaurant in relation to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse?

At 12 esplanade Robert Vasse, in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (84800), about a ten-minute drive from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. Not to be confused with the club of the same name in Porto-Vecchio: this is the local music bar and Corsican table.

Is there live music?

Yes, it's the house signature. From Tuesday to Friday evening, bands take the stage; on Friday the DJ takes over. On Saturday the bar comes alive in the evening after an all-day service. Live music all year round.

Do I need to book if I'm coming from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse?

For a drink at the counter, no. For a table in the evening or on the terrace, especially on a live night, booking is recommended. It takes seconds online, or a quick phone call — handy to round off a day spent by the Sorgue.

Can I both dine and spend the evening here?

Of course. Via Notte is as much a table as a music bar: come for a real Corsican meal to share, then carry the evening on with a drink and the music. The food and the atmosphere go together.

Can the place be privatised for an event?

Yes. Via Notte hosts birthdays, stag and hen parties and corporate evenings. Describe your event through the private-events form and the team will get back to you.

How late can I enjoy the evening?

The terrace stays open until 11 pm. Inside, the evening runs until 12:30 am from Tuesday to Saturday.
